  • Our marketing strategy includes targeted social media advertising directed at KC’s top-spending pet demographics, partnerships with local influencers/rescues/restaurants/shops, attending other pet-related events for exposure, traditional media (billboards, radio, TV), streaming service ads, and hyper-local placements with KC-centric news outlets.

  • While dogs make up a large portion of the KC market, we are a "Pet Fest." Our research shows that KC is the #1 market for cat-friendly living and has a high concentration of exotic pet owners. We have dedicated zones for various pet types to ensure all owners feel welcome.

  • One of the primary benefits of hosting at the American Royal is the indoor infrastructure. The event is "Rain or Shine," ensuring your investment is protected regardless of Kansas City’s unpredictable weather.

  • To maintain our "Animal-First Safety" standards, the following products, services, and organizations are not permitted to exhibit:

    1. Political or Religious Organizations

    2. Non–Pet-Related Products or Services (Exceptions may be made for approved sponsors with strategic alignment.)

    3. Breeding Operations

    4. On-Site Animal Sales (Without Prior Approval)

    • Adoption organizations may participate if vetted and compliant with local regulations.

    5. Unsafe or Inhumane Products (ex: shock collars)

    6. Cannabis, THC, Controlled Substances, or unregulated medications (CBD or hemp-derived products must comply with all federal and state regulations and receive prior approval)

    7. Weapons of any kind

    8. Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) Businesses (No MLM or direct sales organizations unless pre-approved and category-exclusive)

    KC Pet Fest reserves the right to deny participation to any exhibitor whose products, conduct, or brand positioning conflicts with the event’s mission, safety standards, or community values.

    Additionally, we curate our vendor list to avoid extreme over-saturation in a single category, ensuring every exhibitor has a fair share of the market's attention.

  • The following items are available at an additional cost through the official event decorator or venue:

    • Tables and chairs

    • Electricity access

    • Booth carpeting or upgraded flooring

    • Additional tables

    • Additional chairs

    • Linen rentals

    • Pipe and drape upgrades

    • Internet / Wi-Fi access

    • Water access

    • Drain access

    • Refrigeration or ice service

    • Material handling / freight services

    • Early move-in or extended load-out time

    All add-ons must be ordered in advance through the official exhibitor services provider. Pricing and ordering deadlines will be outlined in the Exhibitor Service Kit.

    Also, exhibitors are responsible for securing any required permits, insurance certificates, and health department approvals (if applicable to food or live animal services).
